About The Programme
The Halliwick Foundation Programme is an internationally recognised, IHA-certified 4-day course that transforms the way therapists, educators, and aquatic practitioners think about movement in water. Rooted in over 70 years of evidence-based practice, the Halliwick Concept teaches that water is not simply a medium for exercise — it is an environment with its own physics, its own demands, and its own extraordinary therapeutic potential.
This programme goes beyond techniques. It builds a deep understanding of why the body responds the way it does in water — hydrostatics, buoyancy, turbulence, rotational forces — and translates that understanding into structured, progressive, and joyful aquatic experiences for every participant, regardless of ability.

Founder & Director
Fezia is the founder and director of Amir's Therapy Gym (www.amirstherapygym.com), a private rehabilitation facility in Kuala Lumpur dedicated to supporting persons with disabilities. Built from the ground up, the centre reflects her commitment to making quality, specialist therapy accessible — and gives her a daily, hands-on understanding of the realities faced by clients and families.
This programme is led by a certified IHA Lecturer who brings together clinical experience, international teaching, and a genuine passion for the water. What stays with participants is the way movement is understood and brought to life — making each concept easy to grasp and a pleasure to put into practice.

With a clinical background spanning children with Cerebral Palsy, autism spectrum conditions, sensory processing differences, and complex neurological needs, the course brings thoughtful, evidence-informed task analysis to its work in the water — looking not just at what the body does, but why, and how to support each individual.
